Villard Reculas – small village, huge skiing area.
The area Massif des Grandes Rousses incorporates seven different villages : Alpe d’huez, Auris, La Garde, Le Freney d’Oisans, Oz en Oisans, Vaujany et Villard Reculas.
An interesting and well designed skiing area is served by modern and convenient lifts to take you from 1300m to the summit of Pic Blanc at 3330m. You will discover some of the most challenging and scenic skiing in the Alps as well as the longest black run in Europe – the Sarenne at 16km.
From Villard Reculas, it is quick and easy to access the heart of the Massif des Grandes Rousses to enjoy your favourite winter sport, whether it be skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing…
Villard Reculas has its own ski area situated west of the Signal of Alpe d’huez. The ski slopes can be found at the top of the village, starting at 1500m and climbing up to 2100m at the Signal. Located in wonderful countryside, it will become a favourite place to play for old and young alike.
7 lifts serve over 20 km of ski slopes of all levels. The price of the local ski pass is the cheapest within the Massif des Grandes Rousses area.

Ski school
There are instructors available for alpine skiing, snowboarding, group lessons or private instruction. Races for children and adults are organised by the Ecole de Ski Francais at the end of each week.
For more experienced skiers, it is possible to discover some of the most amazing off piste skiing in France.

For children
There is a safe and fun environment available for children from 3 ½ years to experience their first taste of skiing at Les Loupiots with instructors on hand. The children’s garden is south facing, conveniently accessible by lift from the car park.
